Private Jet Verbier to Huntington Beach

Sion Airport, the main gateway to Verbier, serves a 5,179-nautical-mile route to Huntington Beach, a journey of around nine and three-quarter hours requiring a heavy business jet such as the Gulfstream G550 or Bombardier Global 6000, both well suited to this considerable transatlantic crossing from the Swiss Alps. Cruise altitudes near 43,000 feet are typical, keeping the aircraft efficient and well above the weather and terrain that can complicate operations in and out of the Rhone Valley. Verbier’s reputation as one of the world’s premier freeride skiing destinations, with its challenging off-piste terrain and vibrant après-ski scene, draws a particularly international and youthful set of private aviation clients each winter season. Huntington Beach offers arriving guests a complete change of sport and scenery: a long, sun-drenched surfing beach, a historic pier, and a culture built around the Pacific rather than alpine couloirs. John Wayne Airport receives flights, close to Orange County’s business parks and the yacht harbours of Newport Beach. This route suits Verbier regulars connecting their Alpine base with a Southern California home, as well as skiers and surfers alike drawn to both mountain and ocean pursuits. Given the distance and the heavy jet required, The Jet Collection recommends booking well in advance, particularly during Verbier’s peak ski season when demand for aircraft across the entire Alpine region rises sharply each winter without exception, straining capacity at the valley’s small airfield considerably during the busiest holiday weeks of the entire winter season. Road transfers down the valley are arranged alongside each flight.
