Private Jet Eleuthera to Ashgabat

North Eleuthera Airport, gateway to one of the most storied islands in the Bahamian archipelago, is the departure point for a considerably less familiar destination: Ashgabat, 6,248 nautical miles to the east. The route threads across the Atlantic, over southern Europe and the Caucasus, before descending into the Karakum Desert that surrounds Turkmenistan’s capital. Covering that distance without an intermediate stop calls for genuine ultra-long-range metal. The Gulfstream G650ER and Bombardier Global 7500 both comfortably exceed the range required, and both offer stand-up, flat-floor cabins that make a meaningful difference on a sector likely to run close to twelve hours. Expect cruise altitudes in the 45,000 to 51,000 foot range for much of the crossing, well above the congested airways used by airline traffic, and a cabin configuration that can convert seating into proper berths for genuine rest along the way. On arrival, passengers land at a city built around spectacle: Ashgabat’s alabaster Wedding Palace, a vast starburst structure that has become one of the more photographed buildings in Central Asia, sits alongside acres of ornamental fountains and manicured parkland. A few hours’ drive into the surrounding desert lies the Darvaza gas crater, better known as the Door to Hell, a burning pit that has drawn a steady trickle of adventurous travellers for decades. The Eleuthera to Ashgabat pairing suits guests with a taste for genuine contrast, exchanging pink-sand beaches and a slow island pace for one of the most architecturally unusual capitals on earth, whether the visit is built around business in the gas industry or pure curiosity about a country that remains largely off the conventional travel map.
