Private Jet Paros to Bodrum

The crossing from Paros to Bodrum covers around 113 nautical miles across the Aegean, linking a favourite island of the Cyclades with the Turquoise Coast of south-western Turkey. On so short a sector a turboprop or very light jet is the natural choice, with the Pilatus PC-12 well suited to the modest runway at Paros and the Embraer Phenom 100 offering swift jet performance for those who prefer it. The turboprop’s ability to operate comfortably from shorter island fields makes it particularly appropriate here, and the flight is completed in a matter of minutes rather than the best part of a day required by ferry and connecting services. Departures are handled from Paros National Airport, a compact gateway serving one of the most characterful of the Cyclades, where guests transfer with ease from villa or harbour to the aircraft. Bodrum, the destination, occupies the site of ancient Halicarnassus and is watched over by the medieval Castle of St Peter overlooking its bays. The town blends whitewashed lanes and bougainvillaea with one of the liveliest marina scenes in the eastern Mediterranean, drawing yacht owners and holidaymakers throughout the summer. This route suits island-hopping travellers, yacht guests joining a vessel on the Turkish coast, and those combining Greek and Turkish itineraries within a single trip. Rather than surrender a day to sea crossings and airport connections, passengers can step aboard and be walking the quays of Bodrum within the hour, free to make the most of both shores on a schedule entirely their own.
