Private Jet Lagos to Shima

Lagos to Ise-Shima covers approximately 7,213 nautical miles, a distance that generally calls for an executive airliner conversion given the considerable stretch of Africa, the Middle East and Asia the aircraft must cross to reach central Japan. Departing Murtala Muhammed International Airport, the flight tracks east across the African continent before continuing over the Indian Ocean and Southeast Asia toward the Japanese coast. Landing at Chūbu Centrair, travellers arrive at an island gateway built specifically to serve Nagoya, a short transfer from Ise-Shima’s deeply indented coastline, where the ama, Japan’s traditional free-diving fisherwomen, continue a practice tied to the region’s long-standing pearl industry, and where the Ise Grand Shrine draws pilgrims from across the country to what many consider Shinto’s spiritual centre. Lagos, as West Africa’s largest commercial hub, generates a steady if modest flow of long-range charter demand tied to Nigeria’s oil and trading interests, with occasional business travel routed through Chūbu’s manufacturing centres before continuing on to Ise-Shima. Given the exceptional distance involved, this journey requires careful advance coordination around fuel staging, crew rotation and overflight clearances across a wide range of jurisdictions, and travellers should approach the route as a considered, multi-stage undertaking rather than a conventional single-sector charter flight, with a well-briefed operator essential to keeping the crossing comfortable throughout its considerable length. Lagos’s dense, congested urban environment stands in sharp contrast to the eventual arrival on the quiet, sea-swept Ise-Shima coastline, a difference many first-time travellers find genuinely striking, and something that lingers in the memory well after the aircraft has come to a stop on Ise Bay’s reclaimed runway apron.
