Private Jet Simpson Bay to Koh Samui

Simpson Bay, on the Dutch side of St Maarten, lies close to 8,880 nautical miles from Koh Samui, a distance that sits right at the edge of what today’s longest-range business jets can manage in a single hop. For this reason, an executive airliner such as the ACJ319neo, or a Global 7500 flown with favourable winds and careful fuel planning, is the aircraft class best suited to the sector. Princess Juliana International Airport, famous for its low beachfront approach, is the departure point, giving guests a memorable send-off before the long transit east. Maintenance intervals on this aircraft type are designed around exactly this kind of long-range, high-utilisation flying. Koh Samui, the destination, trades St Maarten’s beach-bar energy for a slower, more tropical rhythm. The island’s rubber and coconut estates once formed the backbone of its economy, and several working plantations remain open to visitors curious about the trade that shaped Samui long before tourism arrived. Chaweng’s stretch of sand remains the island’s social centre, while Lamai offers a quieter alternative a short drive south. Samui International Airport’s open-sided terminal, framed by palm gardens, is among the more relaxed private arrival points in the region. Cooking schools near Bophut teach the fundamentals of Thai curry pastes, a favoured half-day activity for guests staying inland from the beach. This pairing appeals to guests moving between two very different island cultures, whether continuing an around-the-world itinerary or simply seeking Samui’s spa retreats and diving sites after time in the Caribbean. Given the range required, careful routing and the right aircraft class make this one of the more ambitious itineraries The Jet Collection arranges.
