Private Jet Fort Lauderdale to Alexandria

Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, one of South Florida’s busiest gateways and a hub closely tied to the region’s yachting and boating industry, is the starting point for a long sector to Alexandria covering roughly 5,527 nautical miles. An ultra-long-range jet suits the distance well, and the Gulfstream G650ER or Bombardier Global 6000 are the types most commonly assigned, cruising near 45,000 feet through a flight of approximately ten and a half hours. Fort Lauderdale’s canals and marinas, often described as the Venice of America, give the departure a distinctly maritime character before the routing carries the aircraft north-east across the Atlantic, curving over southern Europe and descending into Borg El Arab International Airport. Alexandria’s own harbour has anchored Mediterranean trade since Alexander the Great founded the city more than two thousand years ago, and its waterfront still reflects that legacy through the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the Qaitbay Citadel, built where the ancient Pharos lighthouse once stood. The Corniche, stretching for miles along the sea, connects two port cities separated by an ocean but united by a shared reliance on maritime trade and travel. Given the length of the crossing, cabin comfort and range take precedence over raw speed, and both recommended aircraft types deliver flat-bed seating and enclosed lavatories suited to extended travel. This pairing tends to suit South Florida-based yacht owners and business travellers whose interests extend into Egypt and the wider eastern Mediterranean, where superyacht and charter traffic increasingly overlap. Ground handling at Borg El Arab is well practised with long-range business jet arrivals, allowing yacht owners to move seamlessly from one maritime hub to another despite the ocean and continent separating them.
