Private Jet Corsica to Mexico City

Corsica and Mexico City are separated by roughly 5,360 nautical miles, a sector that calls for the full range of a Gulfstream G650ER or Bombardier Global 7500, both capable of the nonstop crossing with useful reserves, cruising at altitudes up to 45,000 feet across the Atlantic before descending into the Gulf of Mexico. Guests based along the island’s northern coast typically depart from Calvi-Sainte-Catherine, a compact field whose general aviation handlers are well versed in the needs of the yachting and villa clientele who fill the island each summer. The nearly ten-hour flight makes the flat-bed comfort of an ultra-long-range cabin a genuine priority, particularly welcome after the intensity of the Mediterranean high season. Mexico City International Airport’s elevation of over 2,200 metres is a routine but important factor in every crew’s approach and fuel planning after such an extended sector. On arrival, Corsica’s rugged coastline and maquis-scented hills give way to the scale and density of one of the world’s largest capitals, its Centro Histórico and Chapultepec Park offering a very different, though equally compelling, sense of place. This route suits the international clientele who divide their summer between Corsica’s coves and business or family interests in Mexico, for whom the range and comfort of an ultra-long-range aircraft make a direct, nonstop sector both practical and genuinely comfortable, despite the considerable distance the flight ultimately covers, a comfort that matters as much on departure as it does on arrival after a long stretch of island entertaining and the late nights that a Corsican summer typically involves.
