Private Jet Zurich to Cavallo

Zurich to Cavallo covers a short 365 nautical miles, generally flown in around fifty minutes by a very light jet such as the Citation Mustang or Phenom 100, cruising at a modest altitude suited to the quick crossing over the Alps toward the Ligurian and Tyrrhenian coasts. Zurich Kloten Airport offers excellent private aviation infrastructure, one of the more efficient hubs in Europe for departures of this kind, with handling teams well used to short-notice regional charters. A brief helicopter transfer at the destination end completes the journey to Cavallo, a granite island within the Lavezzi Nature Reserve in the Strait of Bonifacio, positioned between Corsica and Sardinia, since no runway serves the island directly. Zurich’s precise, orderly character and its role as a global centre of private banking make for a fitting departure point for a destination that treats discretion as an operating principle rather than a marketing point. On the island itself, guests find a handful of villas and one respected restaurant, an intentional scarcity that suits a clientele already familiar with Zurich’s own preference for quiet over display. Given the short flight time, Swiss travellers frequently treat Cavallo as a realistic weekend option throughout the summer rather than a once-a-year undertaking, a genuine advantage over destinations requiring a much larger time commitment. Booking the connecting helicopter transfer ahead of arrival remains worthwhile even for a sector this brief, particularly during the busiest July and August weeks. Kloten’s efficient ground operations also mean turnaround times rarely eat into the schedule, keeping the overall trip brisk from the moment a booking is confirmed through to arrival on the island itself.
