Private Jet Nantucket to Fontana

Nantucket and Fontana are separated by approximately 2,268 nautical miles, a distance well suited to a Mid-Size Jet such as the Bombardier Challenger 350 or Gulfstream G280. Cruising at altitudes up to around 45,000 feet, both types complete the crossing in roughly four and a half hours, offering a stand-up cabin and full galley that make the journey considerably more comfortable than a smaller jet on a flight of this length. Departures use Nantucket Memorial Airport, serving the historic whaling island off Cape Cod and a gateway that sees a significant surge in private aviation traffic each summer as seasonal residents arrive. On arrival, passengers reach Fontana, a city in California’s Inland Empire whose economy centres on logistics, distribution and motorsport, with the Auto Club Speedway drawing large crowds each NASCAR season and the San Bernardino Mountains forming a scenic backdrop to the valley. Nantucket’s grey-shingled cottages and cobblestoned harbour give way, four and a half hours later, to the sun-baked freight corridors of the Inland Empire, a considerable shift in both climate and character. A Mid-Size Jet of this class typically seats eight to ten passengers with an enclosed lavatory and full galley service, comfortable for a working flight of this duration. This route is used mainly by seasonal residents and business travellers moving between Nantucket and Southern California, valuing the flexibility and privacy of a direct chartered sector over a scheduled commercial connection through Boston. Nantucket’s small runway and busy summer schedule mean slot availability can be tight during peak season, so early planning for a charter departure is particularly worthwhile between June and early September.
