Private Jet Berry Islands to Grand Prairie

Berry Islands to Grand Prairie covers approximately 1,095 nautical miles, a sector well suited to a light jet such as the Embraer Phenom 300 or Cessna Citation CJ4, or a turboprop like the Pilatus PC-12 for smaller parties, all completing the crossing in around two hours. Departure is from Great Harbour Cay Airport, serving a sparsely developed chain within the Bahamas known for exceptional bonefishing, quiet marinas and a level of seclusion increasingly rare elsewhere in the archipelago. Arrival at Grand Prairie Municipal Airport delivers passengers into the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, close to Lone Star Park’s racing calendar and within easy reach of Arlington’s major sporting venues. The PC-12’s short-field capability suits the Berry Islands’ more modest runway infrastructure particularly well, while the Phenom 300 and CJ4 offer faster cruise speeds for travellers prioritising overall journey time. The route suits sport-fishing enthusiasts and travellers seeking a genuinely quiet Bahamian escape away from the archipelago’s more developed islands, connecting directly with Texas in a single short sector. Great Harbour Cay’s marina remains a well-known staging point for anglers pursuing bonefish across the surrounding flats, and its relative remoteness compared with Nassau or the Abacos has helped preserve a distinctly unhurried island character. The surrounding flats and channels of the Berry Islands are considered among the finest bonefishing grounds anywhere in the world, drawing dedicated anglers back year after year despite, or perhaps because of, the chain’s limited development. A handful of small lodges cater almost exclusively to fishing parties, reinforcing the island’s identity as a specialist rather than mass-market destination.
