Private Jet Amalfi to Akron

The distance between Amalfi and Akron runs to roughly 4,119 nautical miles, among the longer transatlantic sectors on this network, and is best flown in an ultra-long-range aircraft such as a Bombardier Global 7500 or Gulfstream G650ER, both able to cover the crossing in a single sitting while cruising at altitudes up to around 51,000 feet, well above the weather systems that regularly cross the North Atlantic. Departures use either Naples International Airport or the smaller Salerno Costa d’Amalfi Airport, both serving the cliffside towns, lemon groves and limoncello distilleries that have made the Amalfi coastline one of the most photographed stretches of shoreline in the Mediterranean. Arrival at Akron-Canton Airport brings passengers firmly back to earth, in a city whose fortunes were built almost entirely on rubber and tyre manufacturing, Goodyear’s global headquarters still the clearest surviving reminder of that era. Visitors staying beyond a single meeting often head to Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens or the wooded trails of Cuyahoga Valley National Park, a decidedly different landscape from the terraced cliffs of Positano and Ravello. This pairing tends to suit travellers closing out a summer on the Amalfi coast before returning to business or family commitments in Ohio, as well as executives whose interests span Italian manufacturing and American industry. Given the length of the crossing and the six-hour time difference, a full night’s rest in a flat-bed seat is a genuine advantage rather than a luxury, and crews on this sector typically plan the cabin service around exactly that, timing the main meal to land somewhere in the middle of the flight rather than at either end. Both aircraft types mentioned here are regularly used on the longest transatlantic charters precisely because they combine the necessary range with a cabin that holds up well over eight or more hours, which matters as much to a family travelling with young children as it does to an executive trying to arrive fit for a morning meeting.
