Private Jet Amalfi to Colorado Springs

The Amalfi Coast to Colorado Springs is one of the longest sectors on the network at roughly 5,006 nautical miles, a journey suited only to a true ultra-long-range aircraft such as a Gulfstream G650ER or Global 7500, both capable of covering the distance nonstop in around nine and a half hours. Departure typically routes through Naples International Airport or the smaller Salerno Costa d’Amalfi Airport, the latter offering a more direct link to the coastal towns for those beginning their journey close to Positano or Ravello. At cruise altitudes up to 51,000 feet, these aircraft ride above the majority of weather and commercial traffic, a genuine advantage on a sector spanning an ocean and most of a continent. Arrival into Colorado Springs brings a complete change of scenery, from the cliffside villages of the Amalfi Coast to a high-altitude American city framed by Pikes Peak, home to the United States Air Force Academy and the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center. This pairing suits travellers concluding a Mediterranean holiday before returning to business or family commitments in the Mountain West, or those with second homes on both the Italian coast and the Front Range. The generous cabin space and genuine sleeping arrangements available on this class of aircraft make the long crossing considerably more comfortable than any scheduled alternative involving multiple connections. Given the considerable distance, most operators recommend booking well in advance to secure aircraft availability and to allow time for the customs and immigration arrangements that a transatlantic sector of this length requires at both ends. Passengers frequently use the long flight time productively, treating the cabin as a private office in the hours before landing in the Rockies.
