Private Jet Ashgabat to Tallahassee

Ashgabat International Airport serves a city famous for its white marble, a skyline so uniformly clad in stone that it holds a Guinness World Record for the density of marble-faced buildings, and it is also the departure point for a demanding transatlantic sector: some 6,205 nautical miles separate Ashgabat from Tallahassee, Florida. A crossing of that length sits well within ultra-long-haul territory, and the Gulfstream G650ER or Bombardier Global 7500 are the aircraft equal to it, both able to cruise at altitudes between 45,000 and 51,000 feet for long stretches of the journey, keeping the aircraft above the weather that would otherwise complicate a route of this length. Travellers departing Ashgabat often remark on the emptiness of the Karakum Desert stretching to the city’s edge, a stark contrast to the manicured monumentality of the capital itself. At journey’s end, Tallahassee offers a landscape built on water rather than marble or sand. Just outside the city, Wakulla Springs and the St Marks National Wildlife Refuge are known for their exceptionally clear natural springs and for the herons, ospreys and other birdlife that gather along their banks, a green and unhurried counterpoint to the desert plains of Turkmenistan. Given the length of the sector, cabin comfort becomes as important as speed, and both recommended aircraft are designed to reduce the fatigue that would otherwise accompany a flight of this duration. This route suits travellers whose business or diplomatic interests span Central Asia and the American South, sectors rarely connected by any means other than a dedicated, purpose-flown charter.
