Private Jet Beirut to Cavallo

Beirut to Cavallo covers approximately 1,321 nautical miles, a distance comfortably suited to a light jet such as the Embraer Phenom 300 or Cessna Citation CJ4, both able to fly the sector non-stop while cruising in the low forties of thousand feet, above much of the weather that can affect the eastern and central Mediterranean. Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport is the departure point, with the routing tracking broadly west across the Mediterranean towards Corsica’s southern tip. Cavallo, the destination, sits within the Lavezzi archipelago, a scatter of pink granite islets between Corsica and Sardinia divided by the Bonifacio Strait, and has no airstrip of its own, so arrival is completed by helicopter from Figari-Sud Corse to the island’s private helistrip. Beirut’s own storied Mediterranean coastline offers a different, more urban kind of glamour, while Cavallo trades on absence rather than abundance, its coves and clear water kept deliberately free of the marina development found in busier resort towns. For travellers departing Lebanon, the roughly two-and-a-half-hour flight is a relatively swift crossing of the Mediterranean, and the light jet cabin’s balance of speed and comfort suits the sector well, delivering passengers to one of Europe’s most private island retreats in time for an evening on the water rather than a day lost to travel. The contrast between Beirut’s own celebrated coastline and Cavallo’s studied emptiness is part of what draws repeat visitors from Lebanon, who often describe the island as a deliberate counterpoint to the busier waterfront scenes closer to home. The relative brevity of the flight also encourages more frequent visits than a longer sector would allow, and several Lebanese families now treat the island as an easy extension of their own eastern Mediterranean summer.
