Private Jet Berry Islands to Plano

A little over 1,086 nautical miles separate the Berry Islands from Plano, a short Caribbean hop that begins at Great Harbour Cay Airport, a single-strip field serving one of the Bahamas’ quietest and least developed island chains. The route ends at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, from where Plano is a short drive to the north. Given the modest distance, this sector suits light jets and turboprops equally well; the Pilatus PC-12 offers exceptional flexibility for shorter fields like Great Harbour Cay, while the Embraer Phenom 300 provides a faster, more cabin-focused alternative for those prioritising speed over runway versatility. Cruising in the low-to-mid 30,000s of feet keeps either option well above the low-level weather typical of the Bahamian out-islands, with a flight time of well under two and a half hours making this a genuinely practical day trip in either direction. The Berry Islands remain a favourite of boaters and anglers precisely because so little has changed there, a scattering of cays with barely a handful of hotels between them. Plano, on arrival, presents an altogether different picture: the city has become one of the more visible symbols of corporate Texas, home to Toyota Motor North America’s headquarters and the wider Legacy West business district, alongside a large concentration of healthcare and financial employers drawn by Collin County’s favourable tax climate. This pairing tends to serve boat owners and second-home owners in the Berries alongside business travellers based in North Texas, for whom the short flight time makes weekend visits genuinely feasible rather than a major undertaking. Baylor Scott & White’s large medical campus in the city adds a further layer to Plano’s growing reputation beyond corporate real estate alone, giving visitors more reason than headquarters relocation to spend time there.
