Private Jet Bordeaux to Koh Samui

Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport serves as the departure point for this 5,449 nautical mile charter to Koh Samui, a distance requiring genuine ultra-long-range capability. The Gulfstream G650ER or Bombardier Global 7500 both suit the sector, offering cruise altitudes up to around 51,000 feet and fully flat cabin configurations for a flight time approaching ten and a half hours, spanning the Mediterranean, the Middle East and South Asia en route to the Gulf of Thailand. Given the scale of the crossing, the difference between an adequately equipped cabin and a properly designed one becomes clear well before landing. Bordeaux’s business aviation facilities, set within France’s wine country, offer an efficient and unhurried departure ahead of the long transit east. Koh Samui, the destination, is an island in the Gulf of Thailand within Surat Thani province, its coastline shaped by the lively resorts of Chaweng, the quieter sands of Lamai, and the Big Buddha temple, Wat Phra Yai, overlooking the northeastern coast. Samui International Airport, built and still operated by Bangkok Airways, remains one of the more distinctive arrival points in Southeast Asia thanks to its open-air, garden-set terminals rather than the enclosed halls typical of larger regional hubs. Given the distance involved, French travellers on this route typically plan for an extended stay, whether centred on diving excursions to nearby Koh Tao, wellness retreats, or simply an extended change of scene from south-western France, with the privacy of a chartered cabin making the long crossing considerably easier to absorb than commercial alternatives via Bangkok or Singapore, particularly for families travelling with young children.
