Private Jet Burbank to Serengeti

Burbank’s route to the Serengeti runs to close to 8,350 nautical miles, a demanding sector that sits at the outer edge of what an ultra-long-range jet can manage before a technical stop becomes necessary. The Gulfstream G650ER and Bombardier Global 7500 are the aircraft most commonly deployed on a crossing of this scale, both built around the endurance and cabin comfort a journey of this length requires. Hollywood Burbank Airport, serving the Los Angeles region’s private aviation traffic away from the congestion of LAX, offers efficient handling for a large-cabin departure. Seronera Airstrip, at journey’s end, delivers passengers into the very centre of Serengeti National Park, where the permanent Seronera River sustains resident wildlife throughout the year. Lion prides here are among the most studied on the continent, a legacy of decades of ecological research that has left several groups notably relaxed around visiting vehicles. The valley’s open plains also draw cheetah, whose hunting technique depends on the long sightlines this terrain provides, while its granite kopjes shelter leopard and offer some of the most striking photographic vantage points in East Africa. For Los Angeles-area travellers, a private routing removes the multiple connections a scheduled itinerary through Europe or the Gulf would otherwise require, replacing them with a single long sector that, while considerable, delivers passengers directly into one of the world’s great wildlife landscapes. Many Los Angeles-area clients also use this route to open a longer, multi-country African itinerary, reasoning that a crossing of this distance is best justified by an extended stay rather than a brief visit. Given the hours involved, crews typically plan the technical stop to allow a proper rest period, so passengers land in Tanzania closer to a comfortable local morning.
