Private Jet Cairo to Cavallo

Cairo to Cavallo spans approximately 1,269 nautical miles, a distance well suited to a light jet such as the Embraer Phenom 300 or Cessna Citation CJ4, both able to fly the sector non-stop while cruising in the low forties of thousand feet, comfortably above the weather typically encountered over the eastern and central Mediterranean. Cairo International Airport is the point of departure, with the routing tracking broadly north-west across the sea towards Corsica’s southern coast. Cavallo, the destination, sits within the Lavezzi archipelago, separated from Sardinia by the narrow, fast-flowing Bonifacio Strait, and lacking any runway of its own, the final leg is completed by helicopter from Figari-Sud Corse to the island’s private helistrip. Cairo’s ancient scale and density stand in deliberate contrast to Cavallo’s emptiness, an island whose granite coves and exceptionally clear water have long drawn a discreet Egyptian and wider Middle Eastern clientele away from the more visible Riviera resorts further west. For those departing Cairo, the roughly two-and-a-half-hour flight is an efficient crossing of the Mediterranean, and the light jet’s combination of speed and comfort makes the sector well suited to a long weekend, allowing travellers to spend more of their time on the island itself than in transit to reach it. Egyptian visitors making this crossing often extend their stay to take in the wider Lavezzi and Maddalena archipelagos by boat, using Cavallo as a base rather than a single fixed destination for the trip. The combination of a short flight and a genuinely secluded arrival point makes the route a favourite among Cairo-based travellers seeking a complete change of pace without committing an entire week to reach it.
