Private Jet Colombo to Akron

Colombo sits at the southern tip of Sri Lanka, and the 7,752-nautical-mile route to Akron is one of the longest in the network, well suited to an executive airliner such as a Boeing BBJ 787, whose considerable range and spacious converted cabin cover the roughly fifteen-hour flight, typically with a technical stop in Europe to manage fuel and crew rest across such a substantial distance. Departures use Bandaranaike International Airport, serving Sri Lanka’s tea, garment and tourism industries from its position just north of Colombo. Arrival into Akron-Canton Airport brings travellers within reach of Deep Lock Quarry Metro Park, where the exposed walls of a nineteenth-century sandstone quarry now form a quiet wooded gorge, a striking geological contrast to the tropical coastline left behind on the other side of the world. This route suits tea, garment and tourism executives connecting Sri Lanka with business interests across the American Midwest, a combination almost never served by any realistic scheduled itinerary. The executive airliner’s scale matters considerably on a journey this long, giving a travelling party the room to sleep, work and recover in separate zones of the cabin rather than enduring fifteen hours in a single shared space, arriving in Ohio ready for business rather than depleted by the journey itself. For Sri Lankan exporters whose buyers are increasingly concentrated in the American Midwest, the ability to complete a journey of this scale on a single aircraft, rather than across several connecting commercial flights, often saves the better part of an entire day at either end of the trip.
