Private Jet Corsica to Bora Bora

Corsica to Bora Bora covers approximately 8,985 nautical miles, one of the longer Mediterranean-to-Pacific pairings available, and firmly a route for the executive airliner rather than any conventional business jet. Cruising in the low 40,000s, a converted ACJ319neo typically completes the roughly seventeen hour crossing in a single leg, with cabins arranged for genuine long-haul comfort, a private bedroom, a separate dining or lounge area, and considerably more room than any standard jet cabin could offer over a flight of this duration. Departure from Calvi-Sainte-Catherine, serving the island’s northern coast, allows for the extended preparation a sector this long requires, with the flight tracking a considerable distance across the globe before descending into Fa’a’ā International Airport. Bora Bora’s lagoon opens out on approach, enclosed by a nearly unbroken barrier reef and overlooked by the volcanic remnants of Mount Otemanu and Mount Pahia. Most of the island’s accommodation is built above the reef itself, a response to the limited flat land available, and a short boat transfer typically completes the journey from the airport to the resorts. Tourism has shaped the Polynesian island’s economy for decades, though black pearl cultivation continues as a smaller, longer-standing trade alongside it. Given the exceptional distance from the Mediterranean, this route suits travellers for whom Bora Bora represents a carefully planned, singular destination, where the scale of the journey by executive airliner becomes part of the appeal of arriving somewhere this remote. Corsica’s own dramatic coastline, all granite cliffs and turquoise coves, makes for a fitting departure point before the many hours spent crossing open ocean toward an equally striking, if very different, island landscape.
