Private Jet Eleuthera to Almaty

Eleuthera lies approximately 6,457 nautical miles from Almaty, a distance flown by ultra-long-range types such as the Bombardier Global 6000 or Gulfstream G650ER, both cruising efficiently near 45,000 feet for a crossing that will generally run past ten and a half hours in the air. North Eleuthera Airport serves a long, narrow island best known for the pink-hued sands of Harbour Island, a short boat ride away, where pastel colonial cottages and a famously easy pace have made it a favourite among Caribbean regulars for generations. Leaving this quiet stretch of the Bahamas behind, the route climbs out over the Atlantic, crosses Europe, and turns toward the Caspian before descending into Kazakhstan. Almaty greets arrivals with the Tian Shan mountains rising immediately to the south, a striking change from Eleuthera’s low, sandy profile. Once Kazakhstan’s capital, a status it held until 1997, the city remains the country’s largest and most commercially important, with the Green Bazaar and Panfilov Park anchoring a downtown increasingly shaped by regional banking and energy interests. The Medeu ice rink, built at nearly 1,700 metres above sea level and considered the highest of its kind anywhere, sits just outside the city and underscores how much the surrounding mountains define daily life here. Travellers moving between these two islands and highlands, from a pastel-hued Bahamian retreat to a mountain-framed Central Asian capital, will find the nonstop cabin a genuine asset, removing the need for a disruptive stopover on a journey already long enough as it is. The island’s narrow width means both the Atlantic and the calmer Caribbean-facing shore are rarely more than a short drive apart, a geographic quirk locals are quick to point out.
