Private Jet Exumas to Serengeti

The Exumas, a scattered chain of Bahamian cays famed for their swimming pigs and sandbars, lie some 7,595 nautical miles from the Serengeti by great circle route, placing this journey among the longest in the network and firmly in executive airliner or ultra-long-range jet territory. Aircraft such as the Gulfstream G650ER or a converted Airbus ACJ319 bring the range and cabin space needed for a flight that, depending on routing, can extend well beyond twelve hours, with rest areas and a proper galley making a material difference to how guests arrive. Cruising near 43,000 feet for efficiency across such a distance, these aircraft are chosen as much for comfort as for raw performance on a sector this long. Flights depart Exuma Airport, a single-runway facility serving George Town and the wider island chain, popular with private clients seeking discretion away from Nassau. Arrival is at Seronera Airstrip, deep within the Serengeti’s most reliably game-rich area, where the Seronera River’s permanent flow keeps large mammal populations concentrated year-round, offering strong wildlife viewing whether or not the wildebeest migration happens to be nearby at the time. Hot air balloon safaris departing at dawn from camps close to this airstrip are among the most popular ways to appreciate the sheer scale of the plains from above. Travellers making this crossing are typically combining two very different, singular experiences, the pastel waters of the Exumas and the ochre expanse of the Serengeti, and a well-specified long-range aircraft is what makes joining them in one trip realistic.
