Private Jet Fort Lauderdale to Cavallo

Fort Lauderdale to Cavallo covers roughly 4,371 nautical miles of transatlantic flying, comfortably within reach of a heavy business jet such as the Gulfstream G550 or Bombardier Global 6000, both of which offer the range and cabin comfort travellers expect on a journey of eight hours or more. These aircraft typically cruise at altitudes between 41,000 and 45,000 feet, clear of most commercial traffic and the weather systems that sit lower in the atmosphere, and their cabins are configured for genuine rest, with fully flat sleeping arrangements a practical consideration on a route of this duration. Departure takes place from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, a hub well equipped for long-range private charter with dedicated FBO facilities suited to early-morning or overnight departures. At the other end lies Cavallo, a small granite island in the Strait of Bonifacio, part of the Lavezzi Nature Reserve separating Corsica from Sardinia. There are no roads and few permanent structures here; access is by helicopter transfer to the island’s own landing strip, and the appeal for arriving guests is precisely that sense of remove from anything resembling a conventional resort. Yachts anchor in turquoise water just offshore, and the island’s understated restaurants and villas cater to a clientele that has generally already done the more obvious parts of the Mediterranean and is now looking for something quieter. This pairing suits travellers moving between a Florida base and a European summer, whether joining a yacht already positioned in the western Mediterranean or simply seeking a discreet alternative to the more photographed corners of the French and Italian coasts, with the long-range jet doing the heavy lifting so the arrival feels effortless.
