Helicopter Transfer Greenwich to Jersey City

At just 35 nautical miles, the short hop from Greenwich to Jersey City is really a helicopter sector rather than a fixed-wing one, and an Airbus H130 is the natural choice, offering a quick, comfortable cabin for the fifteen-minute transfer without the ground delays that a car along the Merritt Parkway or into the city would otherwise involve. Departures lift off from Westchester County Airport, which sits conveniently close to the estates and hedge fund offices scattered through lower Fairfield County, an area whose concentration of asset managers rivals Manhattan itself. The flight tracks south along the Long Island Sound shoreline before crossing into New Jersey airspace and setting down near Newark Liberty International Airport, from where it is a short ground transfer into Jersey City proper. The city’s Exchange Place has itself become something of a satellite campus for the finance industry, with several major banks having relocated back-office and trading operations to its waterfront towers over the past two decades, drawn by lower costs and a direct PATH connection to Wall Street. Jersey City’s newer Newport neighbourhood, meanwhile, has developed its own dense cluster of residential high-rises with views across the Hudson that rival anything available in Manhattan at a fraction of the price. For a Greenwich-based executive with a morning meeting at Exchange Place, this short helicopter transfer sidesteps both the notorious congestion of the Cross Bronx Expressway and the unpredictability of the region’s commuter rail network entirely, making it a favoured option among the private equity and hedge fund community that treats time as its scarcest resource, particularly during the working week when every half hour counts.
