Private Jet Haikou to Costa Navarino

Haikou Meilan International Airport, serving the tropical island province of Hainan, lies 4,623 nautical miles from Kalamata International Airport, a sector comfortably covered nonstop by a heavy business jet such as the Gulfstream G450 or Bombardier Global 6000. Cruising at altitudes well above 40,000 feet for most of a flight running to roughly eight and a quarter hours, the aircraft stays clear of most weather along the route, while a cabin fitted for long-range comfort allows passengers to structure the crossing around work, dining and rest as they prefer. Arrival is into Kalamata International Airport at the southern end of the Peloponnese, a short drive from a city whose olives have carried its name into kitchens across the world for generations. Costa Navarino spreads along Navarino Bay, its two resort hotels and pair of championship golf courses set into pine-covered hillsides above beaches that include the dune-backed lagoon at Voidokilia. History is close at hand throughout the region, from the classical ruins of Ancient Messene to the Bronze Age palace complex at Pylos, both offering a serious counterpoint to the resort’s more contemporary pleasures. Haikou travellers, already accustomed to an island climate built around beaches, coconut palms and a well-established resort culture, often find Costa Navarino’s own combination of coastline, golf and ancient history an interesting parallel, if considerably different in setting and season, arriving relaxed thanks to the comfort of a properly equipped heavy-jet cabin throughout the crossing. Kalamata’s own seafront promenade and working fishing harbour make an easy, low-key add-on for travellers arriving with time to spare before the transfer to the resort.
