Private Jet Kortrijk to Palawan

Kortrijk-Wevelgem Airport, tucked into Belgium’s West Flanders region near the French border, is an unusually efficient starting point for the 5,874 nautical mile journey to Palawan. Routing east over Asia rather than across the Pacific, this pairing is noticeably shorter than equivalent distances from North America, and a Gulfstream G550, with a range near 6,750 nautical miles, covers it comfortably, its well-proven long-range cabin offering a genuinely restful environment for the many hours involved and cruising at altitudes that keep it clear of the busier commercial corridors further south. Belgian and wider European travellers making this journey arrive in a part of the Philippines still largely untouched by mass tourism. Puerto Princesa, the provincial capital, sits on a broad, sheltered bay and serves as the practical gateway to the rest of Palawan, whether the plan involves the limestone lagoons of El Nido, the mangrove channels of Honda Bay, or the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River, an eight-kilometre navigable cave system recognised among the New7Wonders of Nature. Further offshore, the Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park protects a coral ecosystem regarded as among the finest anywhere in Southeast Asia, drawing dedicated divers via liveaboard during the diving season, while inland the province’s rainforests shelter species found nowhere outside Palawan itself. For European travellers used to shorter intra-continental hops, this route represents a genuine long-haul undertaking, though a considerably more efficient one than the equivalent journey from much of North America. It suits divers, conservation-minded visitors and families seeking a destination defined by biodiversity rather than built infrastructure, with a private departure from Kortrijk avoiding the multiple connections a commercial routing through a major European or Asian hub would otherwise require.
