Private Jet Mahé to Gilbert

Mahé, the largest island of the Seychelles and one of the most remote capitals anywhere on earth, lies approximately 8,951 nautical miles from Gilbert, among the longest sectors The Jet Collection arranges and firmly the province of a well-equipped executive airliner. Departures use Seychelles International Airport, serving an archipelago of granite islands scattered across the western Indian Ocean, famous for giant tortoises, coco de mer palms and some of the most exclusive eco-luxury resorts anywhere in the world. Given the scale of this crossing, most itineraries are built around a technical fuel stop, and cabins configured for genuine long-haul comfort, with proper sleeping berths and a full galley, make a considerable difference across a journey of this length. Arrival is into Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, a busy private aviation field east of Phoenix, valued by operators for efficient handling and its distance from the congestion of the city’s commercial hub. Gilbert has been transformed since the 1990s from an agricultural community into one of Arizona’s most desirable suburbs, its neighbourhoods anchored by strong schools and a downtown rebuilt from converted farm buildings, all set against the Sonoran Desert. Mahé, by contrast, remains one of the more untouched corners of the tropics, its interior of granite peaks and rainforest largely protected from the kind of development seen on many other island destinations. Given the length and complexity of this sector, it particularly suits conservation organisations, resort operators and a small number of travellers for whom only the most remote and exclusive destinations will do. Seychellois waters remain a stronghold for green turtles and whale sharks, a draw for conservation-minded travellers extending a visit well beyond the airport.
