Private Jet Mahé to Sun valley

This crossing between Mahé and Sun Valley spans some 8412 nautical miles. It is typically flown with an executive airliner, and operators regularly turn to the Boeing Business Jet or Airbus ACJ319 for the job. Aircraft in this category are certified for steep approaches, an advantage at airports set among mountainous terrain. Seychelles International Airport serves as the usual point of departure, offering private aviation handling well suited to a discreet, unhurried start to the journey. Friedman Memorial Airport, the gateway to the valley, sits in terrain that rewards the kind of careful approach planning private operators routinely provide. For a route of this length, avoiding a connection through a major hub airport saves a meaningful amount of total travel time, particularly during peak seasons. Planning ahead is worthwhile on this sector, since positioning the right aircraft for a long day of flying takes some coordination between operator and client. Sun Valley itself needs little introduction to seasoned travellers: the compact village of Ketchum, adjoining Sun Valley, has developed a food and gallery scene disproportionate to its small year-round population, while Sun Valley’s Nordic Center maintains one of the most extensive groomed cross-country trail networks in the American West. Beyond that, Sun Valley, in Idaho’s Wood River Valley, was established in 1936 as the United States’ first purpose-built destination ski resort, conceived by Union Pacific Railroad chairman Averell Harriman, and the surrounding Sawtooth National Forest offers hiking, fly-fishing and mountain biking that keep the area busy well beyond the ski season. Given the remoteness of the destination, the route holds particular appeal for owners of second homes in the valley who value predictable timing. This is a favoured option for winter-sports travellers and for those attending the valley’s well-known summer events, both groups valuing a direct arrival.
