Private Jet Mallorca to Tempe

Mallorca and Tempe are separated by 5,129 nautical miles, a distance that calls for a heavy jet operating close to its comfortable range. A Gulfstream G650ER covers the crossing in around nine and a half hours, cruising at altitudes up to 51,000 feet with a cabin configured for up to fourteen passengers and a private aft suite for the longer sectors of this network. Departures run from Palma de Mallorca Airport, the Balearic Islands’ principal gateway, with private aviation facilities well used to handling the island’s heavy seasonal superyacht and resort traffic. The G650ER’s aft suite converts into a proper bed, a detail welcomed on a flight approaching nine and a half hours. Arrival at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport brings travellers to Tempe, a city anchored by Arizona State University and the lakeside restaurants of Tempe Town Lake. Mallorca’s hospitality and resort operators have taken a close interest in Scottsdale’s own luxury hotel market in recent years, drawing a steady flow of executives comparing notes between the two destinations. For most passengers, though, the appeal is simpler: trading the Mediterranean’s turquoise coastline for the Sonoran Desert’s dry plains, with golf courses that stay open year-round, spa resorts in neighbouring Paradise Valley, and the dramatic desert sunsets that draw photographers to South Mountain Park most evenings. Most charters on this route depart Mallorca in the morning, allowing arrival in Phoenix well before sunset. A handful of Mallorca-based yacht brokers have also begun attending boat shows near Scottsdale, drawn by Arizona’s growing population of high-net-worth buyers who split their time between desert winters and Mediterranean summers.
