Private Jet Melbourne to Cavallo

Melbourne Airport sits approximately 8,780 nautical miles from Cavallo, a distance that generally requires either an executive airliner or a Bombardier Global 7500 flown under favourable conditions with a lighter payload. The Global 7500 offers a cabin built for comfort across a flight that can run twelve hours or more, cruising as high as 51,000 feet, while a converted Airbus ACJ or Boeing BBJ remains the more dependable option whenever a technical stop suits the routing better than pushing an ultra-long-range jet to its limits. Cavallo, part of Corsica’s Lavezzi archipelago, has no airstrip of its own, so arrival is via Figari-Sud Corse and a short onward transfer to the island. After a journey of this scale, guests find a landscape shaped by granite and sea: no cars, narrow paths between a handful of private villas, and water of extraordinary clarity opening onto the Strait of Bonifacio towards Sardinia. The nearby citadel of Bonifacio, its pastel buildings perched along sheer limestone cliffs above an old fishing harbour, offers restaurants and shops for an easy change of pace. Coming from Melbourne’s temperate, culturally rich setting, travellers trade laneway cafes and a famously changeable climate for consistent Mediterranean sun and open granite islets. This route suits Victorian travellers undertaking a substantial international trip, with the chosen aircraft designed to make even a journey of this length feel genuinely manageable. Given the scale of this journey, careful planning around payload, winds and any technical stop is essential work that experienced operators generally begin well ahead of the planned departure date.
