Private Jet Menorca to Akron

Menorca’s quieter pace among the Balearic Islands gives way, across 3,737 nautical miles, to the industrial rhythms of northeast Ohio, a genuinely transatlantic crossing suited to a heavy jet such as a Gulfstream G650 or Bombardier Global 6000. Both types carry the fuel reserve to make the flight non-stop while cruising above 45,000 feet for long stretches, well clear of the congested airways over the North Atlantic. Departures use Menorca Airport, serving the island’s beach resorts and the yacht owners who favour its quieter anchorages over the busier marinas of neighbouring Mallorca and Ibiza. After a flight of roughly seven and a half hours, arrival into Akron-Canton Airport brings travellers to Quaker Square, the cluster of restored grain silos that once housed the Quaker Oats mills responsible for Akron’s economy before rubber took over, now repurposed as a hub of shops, offices and event space in the heart of downtown. This route suits owners and principals dividing their time between a Balearic summer and business interests in the American industrial Midwest, as well as travellers extending a Mediterranean holiday with a direct onward connection rather than routing through a major hub city. The heavy jet’s long legs turn what would otherwise be a demanding multi-stop itinerary into a single overnight crossing, landing the next morning rested rather than depleted by a day of connections. For owners whose business interests in the American Midwest continue even while based in the Balearics for the summer, the heavy jet’s non-stop capability removes the need to route through London, Madrid or a major East Coast hub, saving the better part of a full day on each leg of the journey.
