Private Jet Milan to Santa Clarita

The distance from Milan to Santa Clarita runs to 5,240 nautical miles, comfortably within reach of a Gulfstream G650ER or Global 7500 flying non-stop, sparing passengers the fuel stop that a shorter-legged aircraft would require on this transatlantic-and-beyond routing. These ultra-long-range types cruise at altitudes reaching roughly 51,000 feet, well above the congested airways over the North Atlantic and continental United States, which in practice means a calmer ride and often a faster block time than the great-circle distance alone would suggest. Milan Malpensa Airport’s business aviation facilities are well equipped for this scale of departure, with dedicated ramp space that keeps a long-range jet’s ground time to a minimum. At the western end of the journey, Santa Clarita offers a rather different rhythm of life to Lombardy’s industrial capital. The city has carved out a niche as a favoured filming location, its canyon roads and chaparral hillsides doubling for locations the world over, while Old Town Newhall’s revitalised main street now supports a respectable dining and gallery scene of its own. Six Flags Magic Mountain remains the area’s best-known landmark, its rollercoasters visible from much of the surrounding valley. The route suits Milanese fashion and finance executives with Los Angeles-area interests, as well as families relocating between Northern Italy and Southern California. Given the length of the crossing, the extra cabin volume of an ultra-long-range jet, complete with a private stateroom and a galley capable of a full multi-course service, turns what would otherwise be an exhausting day of travel into something considerably more civilised.
