Helicopter Transfer Paradise Valley to Tempe

At just nine nautical miles, the hop from Paradise Valley to Tempe is a classic case for a helicopter, and the Airbus H145 covers the distance in a matter of minutes, lifting off from Scottsdale Airport and crossing the valley floor well above the traffic that can make the equivalent drive surprisingly slow at peak times. Paradise Valley itself is one of the more exclusive residential enclaves in the Phoenix metropolitan area, tucked beneath Mummy Mountain and home to a concentration of luxury resorts and private estates, and Scottsdale Airport’s general aviation ramp serves that community with discreet, efficient handling. The short flight delivers passengers directly to the edge of Tempe, trading Paradise Valley’s quiet, low-density streets for the university energy surrounding Arizona State University and the restaurants and bars along Mill Avenue and Tempe Town Lake. This transfer is especially popular among resort guests and residents attending events at ASU, whether a graduation ceremony, a football Saturday, or a concert, who would otherwise face a slow crossing of central Phoenix’s surface streets during peak hours. Business travellers occasionally use the route as well, moving between meetings at Paradise Valley’s boutique corporate offices and appointments in Tempe’s growing technology and education sector. For a distance this short, the helicopter’s ability to avoid ground traffic entirely, rather than any real time saved over flying, is usually what makes the trip worthwhile, particularly during the evening rush hour that can otherwise turn a short drive into a considerably longer one, and it leaves the rest of the evening entirely free for whatever brought the traveller across the valley in the first place.
