Private Jet Porto Heli to Oakland

Porto Heli and Oakland are separated by roughly 5,909 nautical miles, connecting a favoured Peloponnese yachting town with Northern California on a route well matched to an ultra-long-range aircraft such as the Gulfstream G650ER, cruising at altitudes up to 51,000 feet with the range to complete the crossing directly under typical operating conditions. Departures typically use Porto Heli Airport, a small regional field serving the town directly, or Kalamata International Airport further south when the sector calls for a larger runway. Arrival into Oakland International Airport offers a considerably calmer entry into the Bay Area than the region’s busier commercial hubs. Porto Heli has quietly become one of the Aegean’s most sought-after retreats, its sheltered bay and proximity to Spetses drawing an increasingly international set of yacht owners and villa residents, many with growing ties to Northern California’s business community. At close to ten hours in the air, the G650ER’s cabin, with its quiet cruise and reconfigurable seating, allows passengers to structure the crossing thoughtfully around the considerable time change involved. This route suits travellers who typically arrive by air before continuing on to a yacht charter or a private estate along the coast, valuing the discretion and flexibility that a direct connection between the two regions affords over a routing through Athens. The narrow strait separating Porto Heli from Spetses island makes for one of the most scenic short crossings anywhere in the Aegean, easily arranged from a private mooring. Many owners choose to overnight in Porto Heli itself before continuing by tender to a chartered yacht waiting in the harbour.
