Private Jet Portofino to Punta Mita

The crossing from Portofino to Punta Mita spans roughly 5,518 nautical miles, requiring an ultra-long-range aircraft such as the Gulfstream G650ER or Bombardier Global 7500 to cover the nearly eleven-hour flight in a single hop, both types cruising at altitudes up to 51,000 feet, comfortably above the weather that affects most long-haul routings. Departures leave from Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport, the nearest field serving the Ligurian coast’s private aviation traffic. Arrival into Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport places travellers close to Punta Mita, a gated peninsula on Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit anchored by the Four Seasons and St. Regis resorts, two Jack Nicklaus golf courses, and beaches known for calm bay waters and consistent, gentle surf. Given the considerable distance involved, a proper rest area and full galley become central to the experience, allowing passengers to structure the long flight around meals and sleep rather than treating it as one continuous sitting. Once on the ground, the peninsula’s marina offers boat trips to the Marietas Islands for snorkelling among volcanic rock formations, while the nearby villages of Sayulita and San Pancho provide an easy contrast with their art galleries and beachfront dining. This route particularly suits travellers moving between the Italian Riviera and Mexico’s Pacific coast, whether relocating seasonally or simply linking two very different worlds within a single itinerary. Chartering replaces what would otherwise be a fragmented, multi-stop commercial journey with one continuous flight, departing precisely on the traveller’s own schedule. Portofino’s own compact harbour and pastel townscape offer a strong visual counterpoint to the wide, open beaches awaiting guests on the other end of the journey.
