Private Jet Proserpine to Sun valley

Few routes on this network stretch as far as the 6,545 nautical miles between Proserpine, gateway to Australia’s Whitsunday Islands, and Sun Valley in the Idaho Rockies. A journey of this length calls for an executive airliner conversion or an ultra-long-range jet such as the Gulfstream G650ER, with the range and cabin pressurisation to keep passengers comfortable across the best part of a full day in the air, likely with a technical stop for fuel and crew rest given the extreme distance involved. Departure is from Whitsunday Coast Airport, the small regional field serving Proserpine and the resort islands beyond, a marked contrast to the scale of the aircraft needed for this crossing. Arrival into Friedman Memorial Airport brings its own demands, with the valley setting requiring mountain-trained crews for the final approach after so many hours aloft. Ketchum’s village and the slopes of Bald Mountain are a short drive from the runway. Travellers making this journey are typically superyacht owners and charter guests moving between the Whitsundays’ turquoise waters and a Northern Hemisphere ski season, or resort operators and hospitality executives with interests spanning both destinations. The Great Barrier Reef’s proximity to Proserpine gives the route a distinctly maritime flavour on one end and an alpine one on the other, a genuine study in contrasts. Given the sheer distance, only the largest ultra-long-range cabins make sense here, offering the sleeping berths, galley capacity and cabin altitude performance needed to arrive functional after a flight of this scale, rather than simply having covered the miles.
