Private Jet Proserpine to Tallahassee

Proserpine to Tallahassee is one of the longest city pairs on the network, a great-circle distance of roughly 7,910 nautical miles that only an ultra-long-range aircraft such as the Gulfstream G650ER or Bombardier Global 7500 can realistically fly with a comfortable fuel reserve, and even then the mission typically calls for a technical stop somewhere across the Pacific. Both types cruise at altitudes up to around 51,000 feet on their upper legs, well above conventional airline traffic, and both are built around a cabin designed for genuine long-haul living, with a proper berth, a full galley and cabin pressurisation that keeps the air inside far closer to sea level than older long-range jets manage. Departure is from Whitsunday Coast Airport, gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef, a small but well-run regional field more used to island-hopping traffic than transoceanic charter. The arrival end of the journey is about as different as it gets: Tallahassee, Florida’s inland, hilly capital, a city of government buildings, university campuses and canopy roads rather than coral reefs and sailing catamarans. Its calendar turns on the state legislative session each spring, when Adams Street and the surrounding districts fill with visiting officials and staff. This pairing suits travellers connecting Queensland’s tourism and mining interests with business in Florida’s capital, a journey few would attempt on scheduled service given the routing it would demand, but one a long-range aircraft can complete with a single fuel stop and proper rest along the way. Even with the stop factored in, the total transit time falls well short of what a combination of scheduled airlines would require for a journey spanning almost the full breadth of the globe.
