Private Jet San Francisco to Cavallo

San Francisco to Cavallo covers approximately 5,370 nautical miles, a considerable undertaking that requires an ultra-long-range aircraft such as the Gulfstream G650ER or Bombardier Global 7500, both capable of flying the sector non-stop with fuel reserves intact, cruising as high as 45,000 to 51,000 feet where conditions across North America and the Atlantic tend to be most stable. San Francisco International Airport is the point of departure, with the routing tracking broadly north-east across the continent and the ocean before making landfall over the western Mediterranean. Cavallo, the destination, sits within the Lavezzi archipelago, separated from Sardinia by the narrow, fast-flowing Bonifacio Strait, and lacking any airstrip of its own, the final leg is completed by helicopter from Figari-Sud Corse to the island’s private helistrip. San Francisco’s fog-wrapped coastline and Cavallo’s sun-bleached granite could hardly look more different, yet both destinations share an underlying appreciation for landscape left largely alone, a quality that regular Bay Area visitors to the island say they notice immediately on arrival. For those undertaking this roughly ten-and-a-quarter-hour flight, the ultra-long-range cabin’s genuine bedroom-standard rest space and reduced-fatigue cabin pressurisation make the crossing a productive stretch of business or proper sleep, arriving passengers ready for the island rather than needing a day to recover from the distance covered. Bay Area clients making this crossing increasingly view it as a deliberate counterpoint to their working lives, choosing Cavallo specifically because so little of the island’s appeal depends on the kind of connectivity most of them cannot otherwise escape. The trip has become something of a rite of passage among a certain segment of the region’s technology and venture community, valued precisely because it offers no obvious way to stay plugged in.
