Private Jet Scottish Highlands to Cavallo

The Scottish Highlands to Cavallo covers around 1,104 nautical miles, a sector suited to a light jet such as the Phenom 300 or Citation CJ4, typically flown in a little over two and a half hours at a cruise altitude that carries the flight south through British, French and Italian airspace toward the western Mediterranean. Inverness Airport serves as the gateway for the region, giving travellers based across the Highlands a direct route south without first needing to transfer to a larger hub further down the country. A final short helicopter leg completes the journey to Cavallo, a granite island within the Lavezzi Nature Reserve in the Strait of Bonifacio, positioned between Corsica and Sardinia, since no runway serves the island directly. The dramatic glens and lochs of the Highlands make for a striking point of comparison with Cavallo’s sun-bleached granite and clear Mediterranean water, two very different forms of natural beauty bookending the same flight. On the island itself, guests find little beyond a scattering of discreet villas and one respected restaurant, an intentional scarcity that has kept Cavallo a favourite among travellers who prize genuine privacy over spectacle. For Highland-based guests, this route offers a rare direct link from a relatively remote part of Scotland straight into one of the Mediterranean’s most secluded corners, bypassing the usual need to connect through a larger southern airport. As demand for slots to the island tends to peak during July and August, early booking of both legs of the journey is the most reliable way to secure preferred dates.
