Private Jet Scottsdale to Tunis

Scottsdale Airport, a favoured departure point for private aviation in the Phoenix metropolitan area, sits at the start of a 5,492 nautical mile route to Tunis. The distance calls for an executive airliner or ultra-long-range jet, and types such as the Gulfstream G650ER and Bombardier Global 7500 handle the mission with fuel reserves to spare, cruising at altitudes approaching 51,000 feet where thinner air and lighter traffic combine for a notably smooth ride over the many hours the crossing demands. Cabins built for this category typically include private sleeping suites, generous galleys and low cabin-altitude systems that reduce fatigue on arrival. Arizona’s desert landscape gives way, some ten hours later, to a Mediterranean capital of an entirely different character. Tunis’s medina, with its covered souks and centuries-old artisan workshops, sits within a short drive of Carthage, whose scattered ruins recall the ancient city’s role as a Phoenician trading power and later a major Roman provincial capital. The clifftop village of Sidi Bou Said, its houses painted in the same blue and white found throughout the Mediterranean, offers sweeping views over the Gulf of Tunis, while the modern Avenue Habib Bourguiba, lined with cafes and jacaranda trees, anchors the contemporary city centre. This pairing suits Scottsdale-based executives and travellers with interests in North African business or history, for whom a nonstop charter removes the need to connect through a major European gateway. Golf and resort travellers sometimes extend their stay to Hammamet, a coastal town roughly an hour from the capital known for its beaches and well-regarded courses.
