Private Jet Sion to Cavallo

At just 350 nautical miles, Sion to Cavallo is one of the shortest hops on the network, well within the range of a very light jet such as the Phenom 300, with a flight time typically under an hour. Sion Airport sits in the heart of the Swiss Alps in the canton of Valais, a departure point framed by vineyards climbing steep valley slopes and snow-capped peaks that make for a dramatic contrast with the flat Mediterranean horizon awaiting arrival. Cavallo, the destination, is a granite island within the Lavezzi archipelago off Corsica’s southern coast, reached in the final stage by helicopter since it has no runway of its own. The strait toward Sardinia is part of a protected marine reserve, its clarity a defining feature of an island long favoured by a discreet European clientele who prize the handful of restaurants and villas over the larger, more visible resorts scattered along the wider coastline. Given how short the flight is, this pairing works particularly well for guests based in the Alps looking to add a genuine Mediterranean contrast to a mountain stay, whether for a single afternoon or a longer summer break. Same-day return trips are entirely realistic, and the aircraft’s efficiency keeps even a short-notice booking straightforward for those already in the region. Given the ease of the connection, many Alpine-based travellers treat this pairing almost as a coastal extension of their mountain base, dipping down to the Mediterranean for lunch or an overnight before returning to Valais, with the short block time meaning weather and scheduling flexibility rarely present a serious obstacle.
