Private Jet St Louis to Vence

The 4,145 nautical miles separating St Louis from Vence make this one of the longest transatlantic sectors flown in this network, a journey that calls for a true ultra-long-range jet, the Gulfstream G650ER or Global 7500 both built for non-stop crossings of this scale in around eight hours. Departing St. Louis Lambert International Airport, the aircraft climbs to a high cruise, often approaching 45,000 feet, for a great-circle routing that carries it north-east across the Atlantic before descending into southern Europe. St Louis, set on the banks of the Mississippi and marked by its landmark Gateway Arch, remains one of the American Midwest’s most significant commercial and logistics centres, its position long earning it the nickname of gateway to the West. Vence, at the far end of this crossing, offers an entirely different character, its Matisse chapel and Provencal stone lanes a considerable change of pace after a transatlantic sector of this length. The city’s brewing and biotechnology industries have given it a modern economic identity that sits alongside its nineteenth-century river trade heritage. This route typically serves business travellers with interests spanning the American Midwest and southern Europe, along with private clients who value the ability to fly directly rather than routing through New York or a major European hub. Given the distance involved, the cabins of the aircraft recommended here are built specifically for long-haul endurance, offering sleeping arrangements, ample galley provisioning and a stable cruise that make an eight-hour crossing considerably more restorative than the equivalent journey broken up by a connection.
