Private Jet St Moritz to Jersey City

The route between St Moritz and Jersey City runs about 3,493 nautical miles, a sector that a Gulfstream G550 or Bombardier Global 6000 is well equipped to handle, cruising near 45,000 feet for most of the Atlantic crossing and offering the cabin comfort needed for a flight of this length. Departures use Engadin Airport, one of the highest commercial airports in Europe, set in the dramatic Engadin valley a short transfer from the resort itself. Arrival into Newark Liberty International Airport brings passengers into the New York area close to Jersey City’s Exchange Place, a waterfront business district with clear views across the Hudson River to the Manhattan skyline, and within reach of Liberty State Park and the Colgate Clock. St Moritz’s reputation as one of the original winter sport resorts, home to two Winter Olympics and the birthplace of alpine tourism, draws a clientele who split time between the Engadin and major financial centres including New York, particularly during the ski season and around the resort’s polo and horse racing events on the frozen lake each winter. A direct departure from Engadin Airport avoids the lengthy transfer to Zurich that a commercial itinerary from this remote valley would otherwise involve, a significant saving in a region where road access can be slow, especially in winter conditions. The cabin space and range of a heavy jet also mean guests can travel with the skis, luggage and equipment that an extended alpine stay typically requires, without the restrictions a connecting commercial flight would impose.
