Private Jet St Moritz to Long Beach

St Moritz to Long Beach covers roughly 5,232 nautical miles, an ultra-long-range crossing typically flown on the Gulfstream G650ER or Bombardier Global 7500, cruising near 45,000 feet for a flight of about ten hours. Engadin Airport, one of the highest in Europe, serves this legendary Swiss resort town with a runway that demands careful performance planning, an area where an experienced operator’s familiarity with Alpine airfields is essential. Departing this high-altitude strip, the route crosses the Alps, the North Atlantic and the North American continent before Long Beach’s compact single-runway airport offers a straightforward, sea-level arrival by contrast. On the ground, guests are close to the Queen Mary, the Aquarium of the Pacific and the boutiques of Belmont Shore, with greater Los Angeles a manageable drive further on. A cabin suited to this mission typically includes a full-length flat-bed suite, a dedicated crew rest area, and cabin pressurisation technology designed to reduce fatigue on a ten-hour sector. Given the nine-hour time difference, a morning departure from St Moritz generally lands guests in California in the early afternoon local time. This route serves the international set who winter in St Moritz for its polo, bobsleigh and ski season, and who maintain a parallel base in Southern California, for whom private charter is the only realistic way to connect these two resort worlds directly given how limited scheduled access into the Engadin valley remains. Long Beach adds its own draw beyond the transfer, with Retro Row and the harbour-front dining at Shoreline Village both close to the airport for guests staying on before continuing into Los Angeles.
