Private Jet St Moritz to Paradise Valley

St Moritz to Paradise Valley covers roughly 5,066 nautical miles, a distance for a heavy long-range jet such as the Gulfstream G650ER, which manages the approximately nine-hour-forty-five-minute non-stop crossing at a cruise altitude of up to 51,000 feet. Departures run from Engadin Airport, one of Europe’s highest commercial fields, set at over 5,600 feet in the heart of the Engadin valley, a demanding but well-established operation for experienced Alpine crews. St Moritz has drawn winter sports travellers and European aristocracy for well over a century, prized for its dry Alpine light and championship ski terrain, and many of the same guests keep a second base in the American Southwest for the rest of the year. Once the long-range jet lands at Scottsdale Airport, Paradise Valley offers a different but equally considered kind of luxury, with golf courses, resort spas and quiet estate streets set beneath Camelback Mountain replacing glacier views and bobsled runs. The route suits travellers closing out a St Moritz winter season with a direct flight to Arizona, as well as those who divide their calendar deliberately between the two locations. Because Engadin’s runway and altitude limit the aircraft types that can operate there at full payload, careful route planning matters more here than on most European departures, and an experienced operator familiar with the field is essential for a smooth, well-timed crossing to the desert Southwest. Engadin’s altitude and surrounding peaks mean weather windows can be narrower than at lower-elevation airports, so building flexibility into a St Moritz departure schedule is generally wise. Once travellers land in Paradise Valley, many settle into a resort stay for several days, using the desert warmth to properly recover before resuming a busier calendar.
