Private Jet St Moritz to Tempe

St Moritz and Tempe are separated by 5,075 nautical miles, a distance that calls for a heavy jet operating close to its comfortable range. A Gulfstream G550 covers the crossing in around nine and a half hours, cruising at altitudes up to 51,000 feet with a cabin typically arranged for up to fourteen passengers across a forward club section and private aft suite. Departures run from Engadin Airport, one of the highest airfields in Europe at over 5,600 feet, a factor that shapes the climb profile on every departure regardless of aircraft type. The G550’s cabin includes a forward club section with a fold-out conference table, useful for the finance delegations that increasingly travel this corridor each winter. Landing into Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, passengers arrive in Tempe, a city built around Arizona State University and the waterside paths of Tempe Town Lake. St Moritz’s glacial peaks and frozen lake give way to the Sonoran Desert’s dry plains, with the red rock formations of Papago Park offering their own kind of dramatic scenery. A number of St Moritz’s seasonal residents keep a winter property in the Phoenix area, treating this crossing as a routine part of a season split between Alpine skiing and desert golf, while others are drawn by the Cactus League’s spring training games and the near-constant sunshine Arizona offers through the winter months. A number of St Moritz’s luxury hoteliers have also begun benchmarking against Scottsdale’s resort market, comparing seasonal pricing strategies across two of the world’s most prominent winter and desert destinations.
