Private Jet St Tropez to Bora Bora

A charter from St Tropez to Bora Bora covers close to 8,865 nautical miles, one of the more demanding long-haul sectors available from the Var coastline and a journey that firmly calls for an ultra-long-range jet. The Gulfstream G650ER and Bombardier Global 7500 both fit the brief, offering cabins designed around multi-hour comfort and the range to complete the crossing at altitudes typically between 43,000 and 45,000 feet, well above commercial traffic and most turbulence. La Mole, St Tropez’s own airfield, offers private travellers a discreet and swift departure before the long Pacific leg gets underway, in keeping with the low-key efficiency the town is known for. The destination, reached via Fa’a’ā International Airport, could hardly be more different in character: Bora Bora’s lagoon, sheltered by a coral reef and watched over by the volcanic peak of Mount Otemanu, is one of the most celebrated stretches of water in the South Pacific. Guests typically split their time between overwater accommodation, snorkelling among manta rays, and excursions to pearl farms and motu islets scattered around the barrier reef. Given the flight time involved, well over sixteen hours in the air, this route suits travellers planning a substantial stay rather than a short break, and many choose to build in a rest period either side of the crossing. For those seeking genuine distance from the Riviera without compromising on comfort in the air, the combination of aircraft, altitude capability and cabin design on this route makes the journey itself part of the appeal. Clients travelling from St Tropez in peak summer season often find La Mole’s private terminal considerably calmer than the region’s larger airports, a welcome start to such a long day of flying.
