Private Jet Vancouver to Vence

Vancouver and Vence sit around 4,649 nautical miles apart, one of the longer sectors on this network and one that calls for a true ultra-long-range aircraft such as the Gulfstream G650ER or Bombardier Global 7500. Both types are built for exactly this kind of crossing, carrying enough fuel to fly from the Pacific coast to southern France without a stop while cruising at altitudes up to 51,000 feet, well above congested airspace and most weather. Vancouver International Airport offers the infrastructure needed for aircraft of this size, and the cabins on offer feature dedicated crew rest and full sleeping arrangements suited to a flight of this duration, generally scheduled as an overnight departure. Vence, the destination, sits on a terrace in the hills above Nice, its old town still enclosed by ramparts raised in the Middle Ages. Narrow, largely pedestrian streets wind past a cathedral with Roman foundations to small squares and, on the edge of the old quarter, to the Chapelle du Rosaire, which Henri Matisse designed in full during the last years of his life. The town’s elevation keeps it noticeably cooler than the coast in summer, and its surrounding slopes remain given over to olive groves rather than development. For travellers departing from British Columbia, this route typically serves those with a residence in the hills above the Riviera, collectors and admirers of Matisse’s late work, or anyone seeking a genuinely restful base within easy striking distance of Nice, Cannes and Monaco, all reachable by a short onward drive.
