Private Jet Staniel Cay to Tashkent

Staniel Cay sits an imposing 6,439 nautical miles from Tashkent, a distance that calls unambiguously for a purpose-built ultra-long-range aircraft. The Bombardier Global 7500 is well suited to a crossing of this scale, its 7,700 nautical mile range leaving comfortable margin for a flight of well over eleven hours, while its four separate living areas give passengers room to rest, dine and work independently across such a lengthy journey. Departures use Staniel Cay Airport, a small strip best known as the gateway to the swimming pigs of nearby Big Major Cay and the underwater Thunderball Grotto, both firmly on the tourist trail for boaters cruising the Exuma chain. Arrival in Tashkent brings a complete change of register, from scattered limestone cays to a dense continental capital built on centuries of Silk Road trade. The Alisher Navoi National Library, one of the largest in Central Asia, sits near the city centre as a reminder of Tashkent’s long-standing role as a regional centre of learning, while the nearby Ankhor Canal, lined with walking paths and cafes, offers a more relaxed counterpoint for visitors with time to spare. Cruising near 45,000 feet, the Global 7500 rides comfortably above most weather along this route, its dedicated crew rest compartment allowing the same aircraft and crew to support a return leg without requiring an extended layover. This route suits travellers pairing a Staniel Cay retreat with an entirely different kind of destination, best undertaken by those with a specific purpose in Central Asia rather than a passing curiosity, given how rarely this particular pairing is flown. Boaters accustomed to island-hopping through the Exumas often find the long, steady cruise to Tashkent a striking contrast, a single unbroken leg replacing what would otherwise be a demanding sequence of connections through several intermediate hubs.
