Private Jet Hayward to Bora Bora

From Hayward, reaching Bora Bora means covering a distance in the order of 3658 nautical miles, and the crossing is best undertaken in an aircraft built for sustained long-haul comfort, with rest and workspace in equal measure. Given the remoteness of French Polynesia, careful flight planning around fuel reserves and diversion airports is a routine part of any charter of this length. Selecting the right airframe matters enormously on this crossing, and a Bombardier Global 6000, or a Gulfstream G550 on the lighter end of the heavy category answers the brief, whose transcontinental range and low cabin altitude make several hours aloft considerably easier on passengers than an equivalent journey in a smaller mid-size jet. Route planning of this kind is a specialist undertaking, factoring in prevailing winds, alternate airports and the realities of operating so far from major maintenance bases. Departures typically operate from Hayward Executive Airport, which handles this class of long-range private charter comfortably. The island’s overwater bungalows, many built on the surrounding motu, remain among the most photographed accommodations anywhere in the South Pacific. Traditional Tahitian culture remains very much present on Bora Bora, from outrigger canoe racing to the ukulele and drum performances staged at island resorts. Bora Bora’s fine dining scene has grown considerably in recent years, with resort restaurants pairing fresh Polynesian seafood with French culinary technique. For travellers unwilling to compromise on comfort across such a distance, this remains among the more compelling private aviation options into French Polynesia. Onward transfers from Bora Bora’s airport motu to the main island are made by boat, a short crossing that offers an early glimpse of the lagoon’s colour.
